Need Shafts Tapered To Perfection!!!!

Hello all,
I'm looking for a excellent reliable cuesmith to taper a shaft, maybe two for me. I have a cue I use right now with a thinner longer taper down to around 12.4mm. However, I just picked up a cue with two 13mm shafts that just ain't gonna work for me. I need them taken down. I have been using my other cue so long that any other shaft I use is just uncomfortable and impossible to get used to.
Does anyone know a great cuesmith they can recommend who can copy the exact taper of a shaft over to a different shaft? This may be impossible but I'm looking to get as perfect as I can.

Thanks,
Jim

Let me be the first of many to endorse Scott Sherbine at Proficient Billiards. I've used him for shaft re-tapering, and his work is flawless, reasonably priced, and done promptly. I've never heard a bad word about him. Check out his web site for prices and other testimonials.

i would think any quality cuemaker should be able to get the new shafts to pretty much the same dimensions/specs as your old one, using the digital calipers.

I'm sure there are a lot of cuemakers that can do what you want but I would first try the maker of the cue. If no luck there, check with the maker that tapered the shafts you like.

Thanks for the help so far people. I am gonna try Proficient Billiards. I already wrote Scott and he seems to think he should be able to get it very very close, maybe not exact but that's prolly a unreasonable request anyway. If anyone can comment on the quality of their work I would greatly appreciate it. I'm always so nervous sending out my stuff.

Cheers,
Jim

All you will get is positive reviews of Scot's work. Of course, you can always go to top cuemakers, but it you know exactly what you want, its only a matter of getting good wood.
