Need some help choosing a shaft

I am looking at these shafts:

I-2 Shaft
Tiger X Ultra
Predator 314-2
OB1

I am curious what your opinions where of any of these shafts as far as how the shaft vibration was, stiffness of the hit, any little things you noticed and why you liked or disliked any of the above. I currently have a Black Dot shaft that I totally hate since the shaft vibrates way too much and just feels horrible when the cue ball is struck. So if you could compare any of the above to a Black Dot if you have hit one would be great as well.

I have played with many different shafts bottom line is there is no way to really "tell" you how any of them hit. What I feel as a firm hit may feel soft to you depending on what your using as your "basis" for a firm hit. My best advice would be to try and find someone with a shaft that will fit your cue and see if you can bang some balls around with it. I believe there are some companies out there that have a program where you can buy a stick or shaft and try it out for 5 days, If you don't like it you send it back and they give you credit toward another. Kind of a pain in the ass, and you have to pay shipping and insurance, but at least you can get what you want then.

Have you considered contacting Joss, getting a factory Maple shaft? Not everybody prefers a laminated shaft.

My thinking is that perhaps you Meucci experience turned you off to straight maple.

If anybody near you has a Joss with the shaft it came with, I'd suggest trying it out before going laminated...

I dunno, I'll admit I never spent a ton of money on shafts, but I just buy one on ebay for 40 bucks or so and let the tip decide how it hits.

IMO you can buy a 200 dollar shaft and change the tip 3 times and think you have 3 different shafts, some play good some don't.

The Meuuci Black dot shaft is not a straight maple shaft is it? I thought it was made from 35 layers etc etc kind trying to replicate what Predator does with their 10 layer splice. I may be wrong on my interpretation. I do know when i hit the Meucci with the black dot shaft it's like a tuning fork is going off in my hand so much vibration in the butt and the shaft it's horrible! Playing with the house cue was probably just as bad feel wise.
