I've look around online and serached the forums here and I can't find anything that fits the bill for this guy. I'm guessing it's a 70's model but that is about as close as I can get. Any thoughts on age and general value?

the Willie Hoppe titilist was made 1940 thru 1962 by Brunswick. Are you looking to sell it?

The cue is certainly a 1960's model Titlist, but who made the cue is the question. It appears to have been made by Brunswick before they stopped production in the 60's. However, I could be wrong because Schmelke started making Titlist cues for Brunswick in the late 60's, so you could contact Schmelke and see if it one of theirs. Around 1969 production of the Brunswick cues including the Titlist Cues was moved to Asia, mostly Japan. The cues that were made in Asia are very easy to identify for the most part because they had a serial number stamped in the wood below the joint collar on the butt and above the joint collar on the shaft that matched. The serial was so that the shaft and the butts would not get mixed up during shipment from Asia.

The cue pictured should be worth between $275 and $400 depending upon how much a buyer wants the cue.

no, I am trying to determine a fair trade for this cue. Im looking to have it coverted. A buddy of mine just moved in with his girl friend and I go over there for the first time and find this sitting in her/their garage. She says a fair trade is for me to give him one my cues that he's been wanting. I have about 140 in the cue. So i think thats fair given the shape of the titlist, but I want it to be close to certain. I'm just not sure where this rates on the titlist scale. I've known him most os my life and i just want to make sure everything is good in the end. so now i have a place to start. thanks!

I guess I should ask another question. I'm thinking that 275 would be high side for just the butt?

The shaft is done for. It's badly warped and the diameter is just shy of my OB-2 shaft. The cue also is short 57" not including bumper. So I'm trying to base my price on the value of the butt.

I'll check with Schmelke too and see what they have to say.

Thanks again for the help guys

I would advise against the conversion.
Normally that model was made from very cheap woods.
It should be stamped "Professional" on the opposite side of the
Willie Hoppe stamp.
I've got a few of these laying around my shop and in my opinion are not suitable for conversion.
