I've had this case in my closet for about 13 years now. I bought this textured leather 1x2 case off this guy who came into my hall one day selling acouple of case's and cues. The only thing he could tell me about the case is that they were no longer making them. The price was right at the time so I bought it.

It has a o-ring on the (I'm guessing PVC'ish type core) slide-on top like a super-mac case, so it's air and moisture tight. There is a Extra large leather pouch thats approx: 11H x 3 1/2W and 2 3/4 D. There is also a leather shoulder strap. The Tag on the inside says "Centennial" Houston Texas.

Any info or help guiding me towards the right person to talk to would be great.

Boogie,

What you have is a Centennial case. In my opinion, they were a better case than Fellini, although they don't command quite the Fellini dollars. They aren't a cheap case, however. The O-ring kept them safe from the elements, and the shell was extremely strong. The endcaps are made from one of the first versions of plasticized lumber and offered a lot of protection for your cue. Are you thinking about selling it? If so, please PM me or e-mail me: PSwan4@aol.com.

Regards,

Steve

Centennial cases were excellent quality hand made by Michael Bergman out of Houston Texas. If I recall they are covered in the Billiards Encyclopedia. Yours looks like a later date, early 1990's - right before they stopped making them. I have 2 of their cases, neither has the additional pocket or strap. My end caps are mahogony made of laminated wood - kind of interesting. They used the same PVC shell that were used by Fellini and Ann Gore, but without the lock, instead opting for the nylon sealing ring (which does wear down).

These cases are collectible now. In good shape, these cases auction for $200 - $300 on E-bay, slightly less expensive than Fellini cases.

First let me say thanks for the info Guys.

What always throw me off was the strap and pouch, I've never seen one with'em so I always wondered where and when it came from. Mine also has the wood or wood like end caps not mahogany though, I bet it looks sweet.
Thanks again for the help.
