Ok heres the deal.I sold a new cue to a friend about a month ago.He plays with it for several hours one night. The next night I bump into him and he says the shaft is real tight when you get it screwed down to about the last 3 turns. We had a few beers and nothing else was ever said about it.Since then I've acquired the cue back because he owed me money on it.I got it out the other day and was cleaning the shafts and retipping them to resell to another guy and when I got the butt out and screwed the problem shaft down I got to that point about 3 turns to go and it gets real tight.I had these probs a few times in the past but do not remember what I did to fix them. The joint is flat faced wood to wood with a 3/8x10 pin.All I know to do is get a tap and chase the threads, maybe got some trash in them.I may be making a big deal out of nothing but the guy I sold it to is not happy. Thanks for any input from the people that know!!
