The toggle switch on my Hightower Cuesmith power feed just went out. I know from an electrician that it's the switch and not the Dayton gearmotor. Anyone know where I can buy the switch only? I haven't checked with Chris yet.

Try Radio Shack

This what I was gonna suggest, either there or through Chris. I got some toggles for other fabrication projects from My local radio shack, just depends on if they have the same one's or not.

You can also try Home Depot and Lowe's. I found the switch for my Porper there for about 4 bucks.

They sell everything!!!!!

I have a store 10 minutes from my house. I'm lucky. I had to give them my business licence and tax info. I'm not sure if you need a business licence to order from their web site. If you need it I'll pick one up and send it to you.

I purchased a higher amp switch thinking it would last longer and it didn't. After 3 switches I changed the setup. I wired in a heavy duty on/off switch and the toggle switch is only for changing directions.

I've been running mine for 3 years I think. I gotta drive by Radio Shack on my way to leagues tomorrow night. I'll probably just call Chris.

I just pulled my main motor & switch off and replaced it with a DC set up. It's probably the same switch but I want to keep that set up intact if you know what I mean. Gotta have a fall back.

Thanks for the input gettlemen.

If you have one in your area try Northern Hydraulic. They are a great resource for electro-mechanical parts.

this 9 lead 2 way toggle was not avail anywhere locally 2 months ago. loews home depot radio shack nothing. even local electrical suppliers. i dont know where chris gets them but you have to call him. btw make sure u mark each wire one by one as you take them off bc it have runners and everything. draw a diagram...

Not surprising, But I'm confused here:confused: are we talking about the power feed toggle,or the spindle motor toggle? If It's the spindle toggle, then yes I had to replace Mine one time, and got the switch from Chris.

The power feed toggle is bad. It first stopped working in one direction. After it completely died, I took it apart, cleaned it, & nothing. When I attached my dc power supply directly to the motor leads it runs.

That's it. DPDT, on-off-on, 125 v, 15 amp is plenty. Also availabe from McMaster Carr, Radio Shack, Most Ace hardware stores, Lowes, Home Depot, Mouser Electronics...etc, etc. they are aslo availabe with solder lugs on spade connectors

I think I'll stay with the original CARLING brand name. That way I'm certain the size is the same. Good previous suggestion on the wiring. Looks like he's crossing the polarity to the opposite corners.

I had the same problem, Chris had me go to Radio Shack and buy a Double Pole Double Throw Switch. They were only a couple of bucks

If I may, I've had to replace switches etc like that, and have labeled each wire as mentioned, then took a picture of the switch. Nothin beats a thousand words : ))
