Have any of you tried a parrafin solution to seal woods? It's a mixture of parrafin, turpentine and boiled linseed oil. It's suppose to water-proof the wood and protect it up to 20 years.
Any opinions? I tried this on a couple of shafts. There's a little smell to it but I imagine that it is not anywhere close to nelsonite or resolute and not anywhere as toxic either.
