About 10 years ago I did two refinish jobs on old joss cues. Both had curly maple front prongs and both cues were at least 20 years old. One had even been in a flood. I have heard and believe that curly maple is some of the most unstable wood in the world and I have made some of the best hitting shafts ever out of a good peice of curly. To make a long story short as soon as I removed the old finish off of the joss cues both had the oh so familar nelsonite aroma-it is unmistakable. Remember both cues were over 20 years old, one was in a flood, BOTH STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. Truly believe in the stuff and always will. Never burned down my shop from it either.

try the resolute great results hardly any order but i also believe in this process all the shafts i sell and use have this treatment and my reject percent is very low......

brianna,

Noticed your from michigan, about 7 years ago I bought some shaft blanks from birdseye creations from the UP. They were huge 1-1/2" in diameter and belive me it took all of 2 years to cut them down to final size, they had a few little spot birdseyes in a couple of them, but they were the BEST hitting, tightest grained shafts I ever bought. Wish I could have gotten more of them.

Yes i am from michigan i always have great shaft wood on hand if you ever need some (AND SOME GREAT REFERENCES ON THE WOOD ALSO)i use the resolute on my wood much less order and works great i think nelsonite is made here in michigan and i did hear they make a less oder formula but still my choice is the resolute
