I am not sure about the other brands entirely, but I will tell you the difference between the DII, and DIII. The new one has a plastic insert in the shaft to receive the joint pin, as well as a plastic insert for the pin to be glued to. Instead of "wood glued to metal pin" it is "wood glued to plastic and then plastic glued to metal" allowing for expansion and shrinkage in the wood.
Wood acclimates to its environment, and this is my way of dealing with that. Have you ever wondered why your cue plays one way in Vegas as it does in Atlanta? This is why....I think that the plastic will take that out based on the merit that the plastic will grow and shrink enough to allow that wood to move around. Making it superior to the counterparts. Dominator shafts are the best made shafts today.
I personally take no money for selling these cues!! Instead when you buy a cue I give another cue to a school that is teaching pool to kids. There is not a better deal in the world. These are the best cues in this price range on the planet. The game wins every time you buy a Neucue!!
