Never thought I'd lose interest!

Its a shame.

I agree, You can see these matches all over the world, but not here in the US. Whats wrong with American Pool??????

Its Sad!

Its not you its them!! I dont know who them is..., but them dont get it!!!

We need pool on TV, not just on a stream. I just ordered 15 Accu-Stat's dvd's, wanted something to play in the background while I'm at work, but that not the same as ESPN.

I dont understand why ESPN does not cover Pool, not even the major events? Sad!

It shouldnt take this much energy to veiw our game!!

Why does ESPN have to be the one to cover it? There are plenty of other networks out there that can cover the sport just as well as ESPN. Look at CBS, NBC, FOX, they all put in competing bids each time it comes up to see who gets to host certain sports venues. Why can't one of the even more less known networks take up the challenge of broadcasting it? It's always put on the shoulders of ESPN, why?

Yes I know Accu-stats has DVD's for sale. I probably have 200 of them.
Frankly if ESPEW had pool on TV as poor a job as they (that's ESPEW
for slow people) do I wouldn't watch their (ESPEW again for the slow)
broadcasts either.

So not only does it have to be on TV, but it has to be on TV "your way".....

No wonder its not on TV.

No one in the US watches pool or has any interest in watching pool on TV. If there was any at all it would be on because pool would be the cheapest sport on earth to produce for TV. Four or five camera's that never move, a small crew, some graphics and call it a day. Compared to a car race, football, baseball, basketball or damn near anything else it's cheap.

A network like Spike could own pool for they spend on a couple of reality shows. They dont do it not because no one figured that out yet but because no one wants to watch it.

I'm really glad that enjoy ESPEW crumby pool telecasts
maybe you can catch a replay if you're luck.

Better not look in the guide though, because their probably
just using pool as a filler.

Sorry to disappoint you Justa... what ever, but I actually like
to see more than four games out of a match.

I glad you're so easily appeased, why don't you go watch one
of your favorite ESPEW trash rebroadcasts and leave me the
f-alone. You can have it "your way".

Nice. Remember, you started the thread, so don't get all wound up when someone doesn't agree with you

So let me see if I understand you. Are you saying that if ESPN were covering the World Cup right now, you wouldn't watch it? Because you don't like the way they produce the show?

You are right, something is better than nothing. At least to me. Enjoy the view up there in your ivory tower.

I'll leave you the eff alone now. :p

itsfroze...check the world cup of pool thread.
We got some matches to watch.
I know it's after the fact...but still nice to see.

What I don't get is why Pool, 'should be', 'deserves to be' or 'needs to be' on TV in the first place.

If TAR struggles to reach 1000 viewers for their coverage (as Justin mentioned in a different thread), what possible reason could there be for a TV company to take it on?

For me, the argument has always stunk of self-pity and delusions of grandeur. They want their friends who can't play Pool as well as them, to watch the Pros so that when their friend says, "Hey buddy, I watched that SVB fella the other day, boy he's good! Didn't you say you once played in the same tournament as him!?!?".

I think the majority of amateur players are simply in denial of the fact that we are the fan base.
