Clean, simple, old school.
Im tooling up to make older Flowers style tube cases. This was the first one to figure out the rough dimensions etc.
Who else likes plain old cases that are built like tanks?

Very nice. Clean and looks well built. I'd suggest you build them a little better than the J.EF Q Cases. Those were nice but a little loose in the construction.

Thanks John. Means a lot coming from you. BTW, I tried to pm you earlier but your box is full... :p
I still have some refining to do until Im happy with the design. My biggest concern was to build it strong. I wet the shell itself and stretched it around the tubes, then closed/riveted right on the schedule 40 butt tubes. The lid and bottom have 1/2" boards with leather on either side, press fit into the shell before nailing it.
I need to figure out a better way to do the guts as the pipes got twisted a little bit. I didnt notice it until I did the final wrap/close.
The tubes are lined with a stretchy crushed velvet that keeps the cues snug inside. The lid fit is snug around the body too.

I havent tooled leather in years, so as soon as Im happy with my carving again, Im gonna do some floral panels etc.

Sorry about the box being full. The 150 pm limit is hard to manage for me. I am used to not having to throw any mail away and it bugs me to have to constantly prune this box.

Nice work. That gives my case three on the wire!
