skins said:the price for his cues only skyrocketed when he passed away. now all of the "cue vultures" ( no disrespect to cue sellers ) are out and playing off the legacy of a master. .
JimBo said:Why no disrespect to the Vultures?? We should now have respect for Vultures???

JimBo said:LOL nice repy. But seriously I want to know why that guy made a comment and then said "no disrespect"? it made no sense. It would be like me saying to you I think you're an ass, no disrespect. I mean you are either an ass or you're not and If I didn't want to disrespect you then maybe I shouldn't have called you an ass.

skins said:to clarify: it's not the cue sellers that this is towards, it's the cue buyers. they make the market not the sellers. granted without the buyers the cue makers would be out of business. i'm just old school and i guess what bothers me is the era of the player is over and the era of the collector has taken over. more people are concerned with getting cues to collect rather than play with nowadays. things are changing and i hope in the long run it all works out ok. and by the way some people in this world are asses.. no disrespect to them though![]()
This statment is true in some way. but there are cue makers that are constantly working to better the playability of the cue and still making beautiful works of art! take for example jerry mcworter and rick Chudy .the new tapered core construction,it takes another Big step that adds alot of time to the cue and helps make glue spread more even for more of a one peice feel ,makes the cue more balanced without adding alot of extra parts ! These are just 2 of the newer design cues and traditional cues john showman, ron haley, joel hercek, and art cantando all make beautiful cues and make shure that the playability comes first! so there is exception to jimbos comment ( with all due respect ) have a nice day! This is only a small amount of those who put playability first! Bill www.cornerstonecustomcues.comJimBo said:I agree with some of this and also don't like the trend, I also think that some cue makers now care more about looks and less about the construction and hit of cues, I hate to think that some would sacrifice these most important aspects in the cue's construction. In any event cues are made to be played with and that should be the first concern to all cuemakers.

pointing out of errors, re sentence structuring. FYI.... most people writing in these forums, including myself, do not have the time to check their spelling, grammar, and overall Linguistics. Nor, do I believe, the lion share of people reading the various posts are concerned about it. Quite frankly it is irratating, and a waste of time, pointing out these mistakes of others. Just stick with the subject matter.... otherwise I think people will start deleting az from their 'favorites menu'. Many thanks for all of your positive contributions, but please, no more of this childish nonsense.
