Buying a new car Sunday and then start with day trips around Florida. If I tolerate those, I'll go big...3 days at a time . If I haven't flown apart by Alabama, I'd like to play in one of there big bar box tournaments. Hopefully this old man will sneak up on a few of you along the way. It's bucket list time. Johnnyt

Go for it Johnny. What kind of car are you buying?

Ford crossover. Wife had some input in it:rolleyes:. Trading my 13 year old Mustang with 40k miles in on it. I don't really care what I drive anymore. My wife will be with me, so I can't stop at the old age home to pick up some chicks. Back in the day I had them jumping on the running boards, :smile:Johnnyt

So when you were younger you used to go pick up old women at the retirement home?

How many buckets are you working out of? Last I heard you had one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel.

Hey Johnny, it's good to have a vehicle you don't don't have to worry about.

....but if you play in a bar box tourney....
...make sure you're firing on all cylinders.
:)

You are correct about firing on all cylinders. Some of these bar box tournaments here in Alabama can be brutal. A lot of good players come out of the wood work for those.

Johnny, if you make it to Northern AL in your journey let me know and I will make it a point to clear my schedule.

Yeah...at 71, found myself in an hour long backup because of a stalled bus...stop, then ahead 10 feet stuff. Found myself wishing I'd bought a car with an automatic instead of a stick...

Have a great road trip in your new car....but I'm thinking you might find yourself missing your Mustang.

Hey, watch what you're saying here....
...automatics are as easy as walking....they get you where you're going.
Got at least a million miles under my belt using automatic transmissions.

Sorta like using a sneaky pete to run a seven pack. :)

I 'had to' use my father in law's gt recently and that 5 speed was brutal through the hilly back roads that are filled with stop/ go traffic that I use use to get to/ from work.

I was almost glad to have my 4cyl accord back...almost.

Dealer open from 12am to 5pm in Tampa. Maybe they still can't sell it on Sunday. Thanks, I never thought selling a car on Sunday was in the blue laws.
