new cloth?

I just got my table recovered with Championship 30/30 cloth, plays really fast, but over the course of a week, I can tell it's starting to play a little slower.

What can I do to keep it fast?

remove the cloth and put on 860?

thanks but no thanks, I don't like how Simonis wears, after six months it starts to look like people are putting out their cigarettes on it.

and i could be wrong but the 30/30 is faster than 860.

You need Simonis 860HR! It had the dye reformulated to resist fading from ultraviolet ligh and it also resisted ball scuffing. They also shaved it a little different. I've had mine for about 3 months now and love it.

It's possible the staples loosened up and/or the cloth wasn't stetched properly. PM RealKingCobra or post this in the table mechanic section.

I use turtle wax and a high speed micro fiber buffer...

seriously.. new cloth plays like........ NEW CLOTH.... and it goes away quickly that's just the way it is... the cloth you payed for probably won't show up until after 100 racks...

Check for tightness of the cloth by running your hand across it.
If it bunchs up even slightly infront of your hand the cloth is not tight enough.
This could be due to either humidity or losing its' stretch from a faulty install.

Humidity is a primary culprit that makes fast cloth play slow.
If the humidity is normal (45%-65%) and the cloth seems loose it probably needs to be restretched.

For long life keep it as clean as you can and monitor the humidity in the room.

if it was installed correctly and is out of the weather (low humidity)
i think 3030 plays faster than simonis 860(maybe not 760)\

I changed from 860 to Championship 30/30 a year ago. When I clean the table and polish the balls, it still plays faster than the 860. JMHE

3030 compares speedwise to 760. Both are speeeeeeedier then 860.
