Next thing you know 7 eleven will have cnc machines for 39.00 including computer and tech support . You get what pay for, these ebay half ass cncs just will not get the job done. I went through 2 years of fiddling with lower end stuff and mine was better then these ebay cheap o s and still to much slop.I am just trying to keep you from wasting money .
To do inlay work right you need the following.
1) A strudy stucture when you grab and try and move with hands
there is no flex or movement, if there is it will not work!
2) You need a good spindle you cant get inlays done right with a dremel will not work!
There is to much slop in the spindles of a dremel, you will break bits left and right!
I like the TV comerical where this guy is sitting is his kitchen ready to operate on himself and talking to the DR. via phone he asks the DR. "shouldnt you be doing this". that somes it up right there.
In the past 2 years I have learned so much about cnc and building and designing machines and even programing then i look back on 6 years ago when I had my first cnc droped in lap so to speak even knowlegable CNC poeple including the Bob -Cad techs had no clue how to do cnc inlay work there is a huge learning curve and then... you never stop learning every day I learn something new from videos ,talking with other CNC poeple ,reading, the internet going to other shops, both cue and machine shops, and just plain reseach. So when I see these E bay CNC so called genises I laugh they dont know squat! where will they be when you need a question answered about pool cue or inlay work, when they see your number on the caller ID they wont pick up! Now I also realize they are not cliaming to pool cue experts either in most cases. If you own a mercedes would you take it to your local auto repair? I dont think so.
As many of you know we are in the process of doing our own CNC machine
we are not trying to rush it as I said before we odered the basic parts ,and are making some parts in our machine shop, so it will be a combo of many companys. When its done and it will be a turn key system assembled here and tested before it leaves our shop. it will be strudy and with many options all of which we have not fully decided on at this time. Our first show and we will have at least 2 working machines there to sell will be the US Open in oct.
we most likely will have machines ready to sell pior to that also.
so if your thinking Cnc please keep us in mind. Lee
