New concept for 8' or 9' pool table ! (rail conversion)

Showing on a 5x10 carom table with Syn-Surf playing surface. Installed or removed in 15 minutes.(under development)View attachment 682077
3C was not meant to be played on an 8’ table, which appears to be about what you have left with this insert. 3C on an 8’ table is about like pool on a 6’ table.

Without this rail system being bolted down, I don’t see how these cushions could possibly play nearly as fast and true as a 3C table.

The ball rolls slightly faster and achieves more distance than a heated carom table because of the Syn-Surf synthetic playing surface. About table size, there are as many small carom tables in the world as there are larger tables. In Europe, Asia and the U. S. it is common for smaller tables especially for leagues. Have you ever been to Huston ? If you want to see how the Rails work just join the USAIBC. You can watch us play 4 times a week. Bolting the rails down is not necessary to achieve the necessary rebound. Many of our members, (United States Amateur Internet Billiard Consortium), play on their smaller carom tables.

So the cloth on the original table has to be changed? Is this design for pool rooms to be able to convert their tables over, or for home usage? My opinion - most 3C players have a little interest in pool and most pool players have a little interest in 3C.

Sorry to come across as so critical, but at your price point, I just don’t see this idea as taking off on a large scale. Best of luck with your venture.

It is a removable bed piece.

The whole thing is pretty badass,.

Shame it can't make a pool table a real carom table...but that insert ticks of a lot of boxes to that end.

Syn-Surf is a synthetic playing surface, it comes in a roll and installs in 2 minutes on your table It replicates the speed of a heated carom table without the heat. ----- See it on YouTube !

Ok found it. This stuff rolls out doesn't need stretching and just clamps down?
Any demo with some real shots?
A more recent version does not need a spline or clamps to hold it to the table, gravity holds it in place. To see it live just join the USAIBC We play 4 times a week on Zoom. To join call 843 681 4193

Looks pretty cool. The inner section will have pockets?
