New Cue at New Digs

Hi,

I am in the process of getting a divorce, actually a split up with my girlfriend of 11 years. It has been very tough on both of us so I have moved out of my house and shop and allowed her to remain until June 1st when I will be back in the shop.

I would like to thank my customers with custom order for being cool about the delay this brings to their delivery.

For the last week I have been working at Rick's Esoteric Cue shop. Since I helped Rick modify his lathes and built his shaft and butt saw machines it was actually like being at home at work.

Rick took some pics of a new cue full splice cue that I am building there and he put them on photobucket so I could post them here to keep my mind on the work.

I would like to say thanks for all of my family and friends who have stood by me during this very hard time in my life and I am very blessed.

I got lemons and now it's time to make the lemonade.

Darrin,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Glad you have Rick and his shop.

That cue looks awesome and your work in general is top notch of course. There is a larger audience that you may not even realize is out there. I don't have one of your cues and it will be some time before it is realistic for me to entertain the notion, but I watch and follow what you do. A lot of people do.

Your work isn't just appreciated for the end product. Your contribution is much larger than that.

I am betting you are going to make some great lemonade.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Awesome pictures though, I love seeing cues being turned down in pictures. Your work looks top notch.

Thanks for sharing,
Jake
