Here is my concept for a new cue everything I considered is solely about functionality and playability.

1. 2 merry widows cues(fewer cuts in the wood more stable/solid hit built from a tone wood

2.Re designed rear bumper on shooting cue(butt sleeve made of hard attactive rubber allows for Jump break handle to quickly be insrted for long shots but still protects from damage

3.wrap centered on hand at address (personal preference)

4.Jump break basically same cue except for rear bumper is traditional slightly shorter and larger shaft designed soley for impact shots i.e. tip shaft size ect.

5.Pro's with 2 standard length cues I have the functionallity of 4 with quick easy interchangability.
A.Shooting/playing stick (Normal Play)
B.Break stick
C.Jump stick
D.Extended Shooting stick (Long shots)

I do respect request any opinions, critics, possible problems there is alot of knowlege out there. This is a cue for myself any flaws in my thinking other than it different from the norm.

Wow 91 people looked at this Idea and not 1 comment.

No... your a crackpot idiot don't quit your day job or

Hey it may have some merrit but........or

I Will post a thread responce after the patent office gets back in touch with me or

I will be glad to build it for you as long as you don't know how much the materials cost or what I make in profit on the project or

If you had Eddie or Varney post this ...then we would have responded

In the words of Bartels and James "Thank you for your support"

OK, I'll comment

I hesitated to comment the first time I looked because my comment is negative. There's been way too much of that going around lately, so I kept my mount (keyboard) shut.

Anyway, I'm not a great believer in multi-purpose tools of any sort. Ususally, they do perform multiple functions, but, most often, they do them poorly.

It's not really a new idea ..

I have a customized Predator cue that was customized by Kevin Deroo that can mate with with either part of the j/b cue or the entire jump break cue. You can see that the bumper on the shooting cue remains (with the hole in the center).

New Ideas

The longer I hang around the more I believe there are no "New Ideas"!

Carl,
That is the craziest thing I have ever seen....
As you know I am kidding. Let me know what you come up with.

Not a new idea .
My breaker has an extension.
The bumper has .610 by 1/2 deep stem.
I just made an extension with a g-10 radial pin. The tenon is .600 by .475 deep then a .900 face by a foot long.
The bumper is SW style and comes off easily.

That is what I'm trying to Imrove not having deal with removing and keeping track of the bumper....
I also considered the mod like in the previous pictures I was looking for a more solid extension mate. The trick will be not having it obtrusive or large. Have found a rubber manufacturers that make a shore 70 Black shiny Neoprine that should closely match a conventional butt sleeve.
