New Cue

I agree

If you needed a price you would have asked Murry. Kind of asking the gas milage for a Corvette. Who cares! You don't care about the milage or you wouldn't buy one . For that price. But that splice work looks as good as any ones out there! What is the joint diamater? .84? And what is the tapper legnth on the shaft if you don't mind me asking.
Great cue!

Great cue!

The butt is .84 with a Coke bottle taper. Some might call it a compound taper but that is not 100% accurate. The shaft is parabolic. There is no "pro" taper to it. Very stiff.

This post barely warrants acknowledgement...

Why because like everyone else you feel you can steal a cue from Murray just because he has been kind to some other posters in the past? I'll tell you what, go find another FULL splice brazilian rosewood cue and tell me the prices you come back with. This place makes me ill at times with the amount of NITs who only want cues they can steal. I would post a long list of popular cues here on the group but at the risk of offending some cue makers I won't, but you know who they are and you know the list of people who buy them is also the same. When asked to pay a decent price you don't want to acknowledge it??? You are a NIT, go buy a cheaper FULL splice Brazilian you moron, and when you find someone making them cheaper please let me know. The list of cuemakers doing full splice cues is short, the list with Brazilian rosewood is shorter and the list with pieces long enough for a full splice is very tiny.

Sweet

Murry I have been looking for a SP and just picked up one of yours from your bud he really treats me like a brother. It has a straight grain maple forearm and a Bacote handle and proings. It also has a piloted steel joint with a conical tapper. I might have it Friday. Wow you just do it all. I will try to post pics soon. I think that SW pin is really sweet. Do you miter your threads on that shaft?
Also does that thing outplay a SW? I bet it is a toss up. Do you like the hit of that cue better than your piloted 3/8-10 and 5/16-14 cues or do they pretty much all play simularly.
Thanks
Nick

Interesting question. Judging from the feedback I'm getting from people who have owned different generations of my cues the ones I'm building now seem to be getting the best reviews in the hit department. Quite honestly I think it has more to do with construction methods and tapers that is does just changing to the 3/8-11 pin.
