New Cue

I am the proud owner of a Schon STL 8. I couldn't refuse the deal at $400 new.
I also have a new 314 2 to go with it.
Anyone have an opinion on this cue or any Schon's in general?

Good Deal!

$670 seems to be the going rate new. $400 is a bargain. I have only hit w/ a few Schon cues. I like the hit. Older Runde era is fantastic.

Probably the best production cue out there.

Good Luck

You have a great playing cue. A Schon plus pred shaft is a deadley combination! Shoot with it for a month straight.....and I don't think you would want anything else. I prefer a Moori or a Triangle on that shaft as well.

I normally shoot with a Sniper tip, but I am going to give the Everest a fair shake.
Worst case scenario, I don't like the Everest, I go home and install a Sniper.

I've been playing with a schon Ltd that you see in the picture with a preditor shaft and a moori tip. I love it but I wanted to try something new so I just bought a Skip weston. I hope it turns out ok.

It is garbage. I will take it off your hands for $200. :D

Schon was the first cue I bought. I would still be playing with it but this A hole that claimed to be a great machinist put a new tip on it for me. The problem was he changed the ferrule to a POS that uses a screw on tip. He said that is best way to go so it is easier to change. He FU'ed the shaft by grinding off the thread that ferrule screws onto.

You got a hell of a deal. I think it is the best production cue made and rivals many custom cues.
