Is there something wrong with your Joss?
IMO: I would wait until after your Vegas tournament.

The fact of the matter is my wife just bought a fancy new washer and dryer so now I get to buy whatever my heart desires.
And of course this was the first thing I thought of.

Then you'll have a trusted cue for the game, and then all summer to get aquanted with the new one before fall season kicks off. If you need help or advice, myself & Wes Hunter are coming out for the team event around the 13th. My team's name is Sugartree. Wes is just coming along for fun. Don't worry, we are not looking for business so if you need advice, it would be 100% unbiased & genuinely intended to get you going in the right direction. You'd have two accomplished custom builders to use as a resource if you needBut otherwise, I reccomend getting a cue out there. They are cheaper because nobody wants to not sell cues, and there's a bunch to choose from. Plus you can test hit them before making any decisions.

I have played exclusively with the Joss since I started playing about 6 years ago.
So I'm pretty used to the way it plays and I was looking at the deflection rating on the Platinum Billiards website.
I see there is a VERY big difference in the Joss shaft and the Predator Z-2 shaft.
