Here are a couple of cues I am building currently, I thought that I would share them for your opinions.

The cue in the top of the photo's, has a fantastic looking piece of Instrument grade Birdseye Maple in the forearm, a Cocobolo handle, and a Birdseye maple butt. The rings and butt cap are turned Elk Horn with with two veneers.

The second cue is a converted 1920's Brunswick one piece cue, that has Brazilian Rosewood for the handle and the points. The dark spots are Worm holes in the wood, which I left to give the wood character, the cues butt is a nicely figured piece of Coco bolo.

The cue in the bottom of the photo is a Brunswick 26 1/2 which I am converting. Again I used turned Elk Horn for the rings in the collars and the butt. The cues handle is Purple heart, along with the points, and this Purple Heart has some of the strangest grain I have ever seen, however I suspect when it finished it will look bad.

cues

They look super to me I have a couple old bruns. but I put Talisman bk-h tips on them. Thinking break cues. Boy was I wrong. All I do is like W.hoppe hold at balance pt. they are players now The cue weight does work. They have so many rings in the grain its nuts. Even with a magnifing glass its hard to count. They are short pts. I think I would just refinish. 56-1/2 inches. Thanks for the look

Very nice cues in progress as usual Craig. My hat of to you sir for your designs , nice and traditional.
Like to see em when completed , bet they will be nice.
Thanx,
jim
