New cues with all maple shaft

It could be an option - it's whatever the default lucasi size is, with a uniloc joint.

That said I've never even hit with a custom cue before let alone bought one, or worked with a cue maker. I'm not sure I'm educated enough for that yet. The good thing about sticking to stuff on seyberts etc is I can try a few out and send back the ones I don't like (perhaps all of them).

Easy enough to get a shaft for ~$80-100 from Muellers to fit that. If Seyberts can do the same thing (Uniloc Lucasi joint and collar) do that, IMO.

There are probably half a dozen cuemakers on this board that would send you something to try out.

I went ahead and bought a standard maple shaft that fits my current cue and will keep looking around in the meantime. Thanks everyone.

After realizing I was playing better with a house cue than my LD setup I'm on the market for a new cue with a traditional maple shaft.

Unfortunately the marketing for most of the major makers is pretty confusing, and it appears many of them make only LD or hybrids. I'm also having trouble finding discussions of this for recent new cues.

I'm looking to test out 3-4 cues on seyberts, max budget around 750 (each). Any recs? USA made is a plus.

Thanks

Good brands that offer all maple shafts:

Mezz (though not on Seyberts, it seems)
Joss (I highly recommend them)
Pechauer (Don't like them, but it's a matter of taste)
Viking (VproVspin, NOT Vicore or Exactshot)
McDermott (GS-series, but can usually be custom ordered with a maple shaft, no matter what the model)
Espiritu
Jacoby (as long as it's not mentioned that they have Edge Hybrid shafts)
Schon (obviously)

I suggest you try
Steel joints: Joss/Schon/Jacoby
Non-steel joints: McDermott/Jacoby, maybe Viking (but I don't like them as much)
If you get a chance, try a Mezz with the maple shaft. The build quality and shaft wood are pretty much superior to any other production cue.
