Well I just recieved my shipment of ebony from Martin and I coulden't be happier. It is all jet black and no cracks or checks anywhere that I can see. I just wanted to let everyone know that he has some great wood. Thanks Chris.

Thanks Chris, I'm glad you're pleased. Just got back from long day of hand selecting, loading, and unloading 200bf! I'll be posting an ad soon with pricing and terms. This is the blackest and highest grade of ebony available anywhere. From Nigeria. Moisture content is about 10%, I'm told.

Here are the pics of the ebony I recieved today. It looks great! There is around 300lbs worth. I will cut some down in a few days and poke a few with the moisture meter and see what it says. I am lucky to live in colorado as it is like a natural dehumidifier. If anything wood can dry too fast here so I always seal the ends on wood I get from out of state before putting it in the wood room to aclimate. Bare wood that is some others get sealed completely.
