This is another envelope case from the Grumpy Old Cowboy (DW Cases). It is a plainer case than the one previously posted in Cue Gallery. I asked him to do a range of cases for his initial offerings, to give everyone a chance to see what his capabilities are, and to be able to offer a wide price range to potential buyers.
The last case was heavily tooled. This case has the same detail to craftsmanship as it did, but has less tooling involved (and is less than half the price). There have been improvements already, which are most notable in the lid. The lid on this case is the best I've ever seen on an envelope case! It is not just a flap that folds over the cues, but has been hand fitted and stitched, and protects the cue nicely.
It was made for a standard 58" cue and is in a 1x2 configuration. The interior is heavy suede with lined hard tubes for the shafts. The butt will fit either direction (but fits best pin down, in my opinion).
The leather is very heavy and is nicely hand tooled. The stain/antiqueing is very unique, and gives the case the appearance of being made of teakwood!
