Any interest in something like this?
I have been trying to break it with no luck. I can also make joints and butt caps out of this product. Hits good and she does put the spin on the ball with a triangle......
Pm for price and availability.

Kinda looks like the ferrule of an OB-1, is that where the design came from?

It is similar however it is very very different. The laminations are different, not the same wood, this product does not hold chalk and has a distinct smell when you cut it. the laminations of the grain are crossed if you are looking down at the end of the ferrule - then | then - stacked up. The stuff is really strong considering it is wood. I don't know how much interest there will be because of the color but what the hey.

Yes sir they are. That is how I tried the one on that shaft. Dunno about any other way.

hell yes,

Bring some with you, John......

you should check with royce about any patent conflicts. its a good idea if it flys but i dont think the material matters as much as the technology. it is exactly the same in that aspect.

Do your homework.... I do.

They are not exactly the same in any way. Different wood, different lamination thickness, different bonder between the lams, these are straight across lams the ones on an ob are at an angle.

from the pics, they appear to be threaded and capped. is this the only configuration ?

Sorry I didn't read the whole post. I have not tried them any other way. I would imagine you would be able to do a slip on and capped. I don't know how long a straight through ferrule would hold up. Capped they are tough.

Well, if color is a problem....it is wood, stain it! I could handle a dark brown or black, or even the color you have if it hits right. I don't really care what it looks like if it hits like I need it to. I have gotten questions and weird looks for years since I was using a shaft with a buckhorn ferrule before many people knew about them.

i hope i took your post the wrong way. i was trying to help not needle. mike g has/had the patent on the 1 pc tip ferrule combo. doesnt matter what material color or weave pattern. i just dont want you to get jammed up thats all. you right i i dont know for sure. but i know there was a local issue with a buisness and my friend had not only his product protected but any variation of this product. for example laminated wood with offset grain

Dave not a problem... I have done a little homework before I even thought about the ferrule...
Thanks again guys for the interest and replys..

John
