new game - savage speedball

personally it looks a bit crappy to me lol, what does everyone else make of it?

Crappy. I don't think it went anywhere. I think the pilot is sitting somewhere collecting dust because they were not able to generate sponsors. The table looked interesting, but there wasn't much to see in that short clip.

You never know what's going to take off in popularity. I'm still trying to figure out how and why "cornhole" is sweeping the nation. Everywhere I go there seems to be a sign posted "CORNHOLE ON THE BACK DECK". WTF, who saw that coming, LOL.

I found a clip of an actual match.

They have some young bangers playing it who dog 2 out of 3 shots, but it might be interesting to see what the game looks like with a guy who absolutely never misses. I doubt it'll catch on but those tables look like they could be pretty fun to play on... 7 rail banks look possible. I think the game would definitely improve from a rule change where you can hit the cue ball before it stops rolling. It's difficult to sink balls with a moving cueball but I don't see any reason to stop a guy from trying if he wants.

nice work fnding that - gotta say the players they have in that video do nothing to sell the game, it looks awful!

I like how the announcers were trying to be so into it, "there something special about that kid," meanwhile he can't make a shot.

Looks like it would be fun for about 10 minutes.
