New Guy Here, Trying To Sell A Cue.

Can only speak for myself...I'm already "cued out" as far as playing cues go. Just asked my wife if she'd like to move up to a Schon (she shoots Jacoby now)...I got a quick "NO".

I think she's kind of into the TV hype of how bad the economy is, people spending less.

Maybe it was cheaper a while back but, I listed my schon on ebay just the other day, $2 for listing it, if it sells $40, Paypal takes 3% thats $18 (on a $600 sale), and $20 to ship it. That comes up to $80. And would be more on a high end custom. So If I want $500 for my cue I'll have to get $80 more for it just to get what I want.

As far as the escrow on AZ how do you go about starting that, who would I need to contact or where do I need to look.

I don't get it. Who's charging you $40 and why are you paying the shipping??

I listed it on ebay with a buy it now for $600. Ebay said that if my cue sells for the $600 buy it now price that the final value fees will be $40. The shipping I selected free shipping, to try to get more people interested. Just like most people list something on the forums for a certain price shipped.

Ron,

We were speaking of the Escrow services offered by two respected posters here.

These two are above reproach and their service is pretty cheap.

John,

I was responding directly to a posting of "try escrow" which immediately followed a post referring to selling a cue on eBay. I certainly didn't say explicitly or imply any reference to anyone on AZBilliards, and I referenced eBay in my post. My message was meant to alert people to the dangers of using escrow services offered by unknown eBay users. Please don't read something into it that's not there.

Ron
