I just picked up the new Lambros Ultra shaft today and it is amazing. It's five pieces of wood put together. No, it's not similar to the Predator Shafts, it's better. All of the five pieces are self-supporting provinding an unbelievable hit. I would say that the deflection percentage is in the single digits and that this is the next big wave of shafts on the market.
I'm a nine-ball player and my stroke is long and consistent but with this shaft, I am able to do so much more than I could ever have imagined. I have played with all different types of cues with multiple varieties of shafts but this is clearly a cut above the rest. I put his ULTRA Shaft on one of his cues with the ULTRA Joint and it is absolutely phenomenol.
Cost me $250 but clearly worth it. I asked Mike about availability for other cues and he said that all he would need is the make of the cue and he would be able to make it. I would say that if you are in Maryland to stop by his shop and try one of his cues with the Ultra Shaft.
