Roll Tide, I never miss a home game, I like it.
When I first came up with "Bama Cues", I wanted to use Big Al in some way, however, a friend who is a patent and copyright attorney said that would not be a good idea. I talked with another good friend who was a commercial artist and cartoonist, and he almost immediately sketched out what we refer to as "Alabama Slim". He made me a full color version which I copyrighted and have used ever since. It is sort of the essence of me and my attitude for the game....plus, I seem to spend a lot of time relaxing in the chair while my opponents run out........Joe

Don't ya just love that black cherry?! Congrats on the case!! I really do not think you will be disappointed in the very least!!

New Case

Wow Bama!! Now that's a custom cue case! Bout as good as it gets I'd say! Congratulations.

Gotta say that is one very nice case you've got there bama, jim does great work on his cases.

Thanks, Mark

Thanks......

....for all the positive comments. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Jim Murnak deserves ALL of the credit for the case. He REALLY has a great eye for design, as well as leather crafting. I told him I wanted a case and in some manner, to incorporate my logo (if possible) and name (Bama Cues) on the case. All I knew that I wanted was a 3x6 and Black Cherry (really sweet color). Jim came up with the Celtic design and though it would look great with the rectangular elephant logo. Then there was the name issue. His idea was to place Bama Cues under the lid so that it would only be visible when the case was open. The additional carving only further enhances everything. I am MOST satisfied with the result. Joe

Yup, welcome to the club. Super nice case you got there, I got a 3x6 Blkcherry Vintage and 1x2 from jim, with the Vintage lettering.

Joe, that case sure does look sweet. It would be perfect, though, finished off with white and orange with "Smoky" on it..... :D Just messing with you.

I agree, the Celtic looking scroll work really is really off the charts!! May have to look at getting an order in for one myself.

WHITE AND ORANGE???? That's blasphemy!!!! Bear just rolled over in his grave even at the mention of such a thing!!! There are no "Rocky Tops" down in "Sweet Home Alabama"!!

Did I mention...Roll Tide??

I like it, that Celtic knot srolling is very cool. You'll have to come up with more stuff to fill the pockets with, they are very roomy. I really love mine and I'm sure you will yours.

New Murnak Case

Welcome to the Murnak Case club. Sweet design. Photos do not do these case's carving and shading justice.

I love my vintage 4x8 case.

How heave are the Vintage Murnak Cases? I was considering on getting one and wondering if they were around the same weight as a Instroke case.

PUH-LEAZE don't use Instroke in the same post as Murnack! :p

I told Joe "welcome to the club" because I, like many others here, have had virtually every case known to man and Jim Murnacks are simply incomparable.

I seriously doubt Jim cares about weight. His entire focus is on quality. Every stitch, carving, pocket, cut, leather, dye, construction, protection, you name it.

(Can you tell I kinda like Murnack's work?)

Ask the guy driving the Bentley how much it weighs, see if it matters :D
