NEWS FLASH..... Diamond Billiard Products has agreed to be the title sponsor for the new amateur "A Tour" it will now be called "The Diamond A Tour"....more info to come, just remember the first event is at Dakota's in Barrie, Ontario October 2nd & 3rd....eligibility guidelines will be posted within 2 weeks on the JACCS website, also Shooterville will be coming back to life very soon!

Not this year, however we only require players to play in 1 event to qualify for the finals where the added money will be given out. Thank you for your offer to pass around posters, but we have made arrangements to send every room in Ontario at least one poster. If you would, it would be a big help if you could confirm for us that they have in fact been put up. Thanks again for your willingness to help, this is what we need to make things happen, teamwork.

Shush!!! They haven't posted the qualifications yet. Hopefully 8 and under in the 404 can play because 8's aren't pro. 9's should be able to play aswell. 10's and 11's should be the ones disqualified :grin-square:

Actually, for sure 7's and over on Monday nights at Shooter's WILL NOT be able to participate, and there are some 6's who are also questionable for what we are trying to create. Perhaps as we grow we will include a larger group. For now this is a tour for the true "RECREATIONAL" amateur, not the "PROFESSIONAL" amateurs, there is a BIG difference. They have me listed as a 7 at Shooters and a 6 on the 404.

1. The all caps were unnecessary, you reveal your own ignorance when you do this
2. Grace isn't playing so no worries:)
3. Raymond hadn't played in the Silver Tip tournament in a very long time, and when he did he didn't "steal" anything...he just beat you and everyone else for it...maybe you should have practiced more...after all he only made it to the last 32 in the world championships...how dare he play as the highest handicap and cash out...what an a@#hole
4. If Grace wants to have only 3's then it's her show and that is her right
5. No one is forcing you to "like it", you always have the freedom to choose. If you don't like the rules or anything else about a tournament then do not play...simple
6. Don't hide behind your computer and call people out "anonymously", so tacky...

For your information, the reason why I noted my handicaps is because I AM NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY!. We realize that there are many handicap lists and we are working very diligently to come up with as fair a system as possible. I stand corrected and should have used the Wednesday night game handicap at Shooters in which I am a "6". There is obviously going to be some that are questionable, and we will work through as best we can. Again, I AM NOT ELIGIBLE!

If you do not want to participate, that is your right!

As a final note, "MISREPRESENTATION OF YOUR HANDICAP AT ANY POINT WILL BE MET WITH EXPULSION FROM THE EVENT FOR ALL PARTIES INVOLVED, AND ALL MONIES WILL BE FORFEITED!"

Hey, im a 5 according to the silvertip handicap system (I had just become a 5 from a 4 before it closed down). I've never gone to shooters so I don't have a handicap from there. Will that be a problem? im currently 19 and on the site it says that free entry is for 18 and under but on the facebook page it says that it's for 19 under so I'm just slightly confused as to where I stand atm

Hello Salted, the age is 18 and under for the World Junior Championships, sorry for the confusion.

Regarding your eligibility, as stated before, handicaps are a number that need to be studied, and without knowing who you are, I cannot give you a concrete answer.

There are many who are handicapped as low as a 5, who shouldn't be. The final decision is up to the tournament director, and he has the right to remove anyone who misrepresents their TRUE handicap, at any point during the tournament.

Who is the tournament director?
Better start making a list up so people dont drive to the tournament just to find out they are not eligible.

That goes without saying, the list will be posted on the JACCS website once we have put it together.

So basically I would have to show up and then from there the director would decide if I can play or not, right?
 
Guess I won't be able to play. But Anybody that can, I suggest you do so. Seems like a pretty good tournament.
