Hey Guy's I'm in the n.o. for the surgar bowl looking for stuff to do that only locals would know about

Every one knows about it but...GO EAT...EAT...EAT....and then go EAT SOME MORE. I was stationed there in the military and thats what I miss the most The great food

I'm jealous...GO DUCKS

Casamento's for a doz on the half shell followed by a Oyster Loaf (get the loaf not a sandwich). They are up on Magazine by Napoleon.
Pascal Manale's for a doz on the half shell followed by their barbequed shimp. Cash only no credit cards. They are located up on Napoleon on the uptown lake side of St. Charles Ave.
Wash it all down with ice cold Dixies (not as good though since they stopped using the river water).
Mother's on Poydras for breakfast...have the grits and debris.
Any cabbie would know them all.
God I miss New Orleans.
Go Ducks

The travel channel did a show about where to eat in New Orleans. I think with Andrew Zimmern. Most people love the food down here so go eat some seafood. There is a lot of action at Buffalo's on Airline if you make your way to Metairie.

Pool: Buffuloes on airline highway, Korner pocket in Kenner (near the airport)

Food: Crazy Johnies in Metarie, copelands (if still around) 9 roses on westbank.

Tourist stuff: WWII musuem, aquarium of the americas, audobon zoo, French Quarter.

Gambling: Harrahs which has a number of holdem tables, Boomtown (westbank), pool halls mentioned above.

Have fun.... Be careful... Don't walk streets alone....

New Orleans

IF someone on the street wants to bet you where you got your shoes, do not bet them.
