Hey everyone.
Im new to posting on the board but I have been reading the posts for quite some time.
I have learned a lot from you all.
I am currently working on starting a game room.. not just pool but snooker, ping pong, darts, poker, checkers & chess, arcade or video games, shuffleboard, dominos, air hockey and foosball
Also looking to get a liquor license which will be a pain but im going to try .. if not right away then sometime in the near future.. also looking to put in a kitchen so I can provide good food for everyone. Because from what I have learned from you all is that you won?t make your profits off the tables. It will come more from drinks and food.
There is a pool hall closing its doors by me and I have the opportunity to buy all their tables. Total 18 9?Brunswick Crown IVs. I am not going to keep them at the location they are currently at because the lease is very high and there is not much room to expand and offer more services.
I have done my research and there is nothing around my area for miles and miles that will be offering what I am trying to do.
I was just looking for some friendly advice.
I am going to try to find a big enough space where I can have a public section for pool
And have a private area set off to the side for the PROs and tournamants.
Negatives about the competition:
? I have visited several pool halls in my area and most are run down and not clean.
? The equipment is not maintained
? The food consists of snacks, bottled drinks, candy, and microwavable products
? With little or no areas to eat.
