New Pool App - Looking for Testers

I've developed an app for Android phones, and I'm looking for three to five people who would like to test the beta version. The app uses the camera and compass features of the phone to calculate the shot angle, ghost ball, contact point, and tip aiming point for any billiards shot via a 3-step triangulation process. It also allows for a 2-step process where you directly estimate the ghost ball as an option. The app will be sold for $1.99.

Google does not allow an option to remove the price for beta testers (which I think is very annoying), so I will refund you via the merchant account manually. You will receive all future updates for free as normal, since the database will see you as a paid user of the app.

If you're interested, please PM me, and I will send you the beta site link to install the app.

Thanks!

Nate

PM sent.

Always great to see innovation in the sport we all love.
Thank you for the hard work and getting the app to this point.

Thank you to all of the testers who have given me feedback thus far. I am planning on publishing the release very soon.

Traditionally, iOS apps were written in Objective-C using Xcode, and Android apps were written in Java on Eclipse, using the Android SDK.

What development platform and language did you use to create the app? If it's the former, then you may want to take a look at these.

I have an Android tablet with camera, so I would be interested to checking out your app and give you feedback.

Unfortunately, no. I do not own an iPhone and have no way to develop the code right now. Perhaps there's a way to port Android apps to IOS?

You need a paid developer account if you want to publish your app in apple . Not sure if its true anymore, but you can load your devices, and friends as well using the free dev account.

Just had a thought. @OP, is your app created entirely in Java? If so, you can host it on a webpage, and create a apple web app and point to it. This is what alot of companies did to get presence in the app store until they develop their own native iOS app.

I thought you needed the dev account to publish, that's what I was referring to.

If not, shows how much I know about publishing to the App Store

I kind of have a web app, but it really isn't the same thing. It is where the idea started from though...

Too bad pool.bz didn't finish their 3D pool table feature, id be a lot better than this.

Actually, that is what I was hoping your app would be!
Add realistic shading, a translucent ghost ball with core center, and it would be perfect.
After all, 3D is what we see!
