I had the pleasure of meeting a young guy, and his aunt a couple of days ago in Raleigh. His name is JC, and he is attending University of Tennessee. He was here to add a deck on to his aunt's house. I noticed a guy walk in and throw some balls out and start playing by himself. Nice cue and case, so I asked him to play a little $5 or 10 dollar nineball. He said sure, and we played four or five games. I started talking to his aunt a little. The guy was working two jobs to support his college and help out with his sibling, since he never knew his mom. After hearing this, I felt guilty and gave him the six to let him win his money back. But after getting down eight games, he called it quits. I told him to just pay my time and we'd continue to play and started going through some basics. I told him to start reading AZ and a lot of the guys on here could be helpful to him also. He has a real talent, and loves this sh#$ to death. We worked a little on mechanics ( not that I'm the teacher or anything) and called it a night. So, if you read this, JC., keep hitting them. You WILL get there. Best of luck in school and life.
