I am thinking about a new series called "Refing the shot"

REF is probably universally hated when its bad and this video can be produced in seconds. So I am interested in feedback. Please dont troll me either though.

3 slides I got 99 seconds of screen time. that is stretching production value.

Should players be allowed to shoot a particular shot multiple times? A ludicrous question.

What constitutes a legal shot is not up for debate, only the execution can be questioned.

Which leads nicely into why just rolling up onto the ball is not the correct shot.bank the 1 into the hole and play position on the 9 is the shot, imo. You win or you probably lose...it isn't a real strong position to inherit.

Another option is to bank the 1 ONE RAIL to the near end rail and send cb to opposite end of table. Unlike the prior option, you depend on the incoming player's failure, in order to win the game.

the next diagram will be more clear banking results in a double hit, banking is not an option when the object is at the dead distance ( to the rail is the distance an object ball needs to be in order to be successfully banked.)

There certainly are positions where the bank isn't possible and the one we are discussing is not one of them.

That ball goes and cb can be left in the center of the table afterwards.

If the one ball is frozen, you left ball in hand. The original situation looks like a candidate for one of Freddy B's impossible banks. I know this doesn't answer the questions. Just sayin'...

just say there is enough space to play a clean safe and leave a repeat safe after it

assume two players perfectly match that shot

does anyone want to start a group social media calendar to promote?

I feel like that is something I like doing?

the forum talks about making tournaments follow a schedule

can you post based on a group hashtag trending schedule so we know how to stay connected across platforms?

For example
January can be PostPicsofTables
February can be #sexypeoplenearpooltables
March can be your favorite poolplayer pic and why
April your favorite pool room pic or food near poolroom

everything else seems to be covered so i am trying to break new grounds.

Fair enough. The Bentivegna bank would still work.

I've seen this go on until the ball is irrefutably frozen. How important is that one situation right? If you don't trust the bank (which is dead once you get the hang of it) you could go off either side - thin off the right and behind the 9 for a hook or banking the one to the middle of the bottom rail and spinning the cue ball to the head rail; two of the simplest options.
