New Predator Cue

Does anyone own a Predator 5K3 with a Z2 Shaft? If so, would you let me know how you like it. How it compares to the earlier Predators (if you know) and if you think it is great value. How it plays and feels compared to some other cues (somewhat subjective I know but would still like opinions). Are these still made in Canada? Thanks. I would appreciate any input.

A friend recently bought one, and I shot a few games with it. It is pretty much the same as old predators, except both the shaft and butt have a phenolic core at the joint. My opinion, and the concensus where I play, is that they have slightly less feedback, and a slightly softer hit than older predators. The difference is pretty minimal, but IMO the new ones are not as good as the older models. All depends on personal preference though.

Many feel the Z shaft hurts their game due to the smaller tip being less forgiving on a shot where the cueball is struck a little off from where desired. Gerda for one, tried the Z but quickly went back to the 314. I've experimented some with the Z...but I find the Z just too small. I like the 314 much better.

314 is my beh beh. I tried the Z and did not like it right off the bat. I just have gotten sooo comfortable with the 314.

Soon I'll be having Steve Klein get a 314 blank to match my current player. Input on 314 vs 314-2 ?
