The EP fancy rings look like they are easy to make but it does take quite a bit of time to make up each paua dot ring. Each dot has to be epoxied in--I didn't realize there were 48 pieces in the large band. Ed refers to the fancy rings as "jewels".
I know shell inlays are not for everyone but I love paua, abalone, and MOP as an inlay material because they are somewhat translucent and have an attractive dimensional appearance when tastefully done. I also like silver inlay with certain woods.
