New room, Ox Billiards in Seattle

its really not good that they open. in reality if they make it with those prices other rooms stupidly think that is now the going rate and raise their rates. which drives out newcomers and hurts chances pool ever recovers.

which relegates pool to be a friday night date place for bangers with their girl friends.
If they keep the place clean, in which I'm pretty sure they will, they'll fit right into the night life which frequent those places in Seattle. Most live nearby and walk.

I agree.

I love the way the place looks inside. Taking a cool old spot like that and reusing it mostly "as is" is great. There is years of patina and character in that place.

Good luck to them! The room looks beautiful.

I do wonder whether the demand will be there for that many snooker tables.

I am headed there tonight to check it out for the first time. Yes, prices seem a bit steep, but I've been spoiled in this regard for many years. Yes, I wish a 3 cushion table was there, as I love it and miss it, but I would probably do the same if it was my place given the Seattle market. Bottom line, great to see a new hall opening, and it looks like phenomenal tables will be enjoyed. I'll not be there often due to proximity, but excited to support it.

This looks like the old Belltown Billiards under new management. Was never a location that catered to pool players.
NVM - different location

its like a bar many of its patrons nurse one or two drinks for all night. but having people inside brings in others so they are basically money paying shills.
