New Schick showpiece arrived today: amboyna, silver and ivory

As most of you can relate to, I was anxiously awaiting the Fedex guy, today. My new Schick, directly from Mr. Schick, arrived, today. And it turned out absolutely perfect. A mix of old and new. Major Szamboti flair, with some of Bill's gorgeous scrimshaw work thrown in.

Eight amboyna points into golden oak stained maple. Rusty brown lizard wrap. Lots of Szamboti styled peacocks throughout. Amboyna buttsleeve with four long narrow ovals and neat srimshaw design inside. I love the ivory dots wrapped in silver that Bill does and he included them in a lot of spots on the cue (nice accent) Ivory Hoppe ring with name and date. And then a short amboyana butt cap.

Special thanks to Will Prout (ibuycues) for helping to introduce me to Mr. Schick and help me get the project started.

I included more of my cues from my personal collection in the pics. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Jimmy

Awesome, awesome cue Jimmy. This cue is exactly why Schick is my favorite all-time cuemaker. I can't wait to see that bad boy in person. Congrats buddy!

Jimmy, you just keep coming up with the nicest cues around, what a great design! i love the peacocks on top of the points and the work in the butt is fantastic. i bet in person the silver around the ivory dots really stands out. that group of five cues is a great collection that will make most people green with envy. and the white cue is a nice pickup as well, it even has my favorite wrap!! congrats.

Thanks for the plug guys. I love how my new cue turned out!! :)

Tom, good to hear from you last night. Again, if I can help in any way to get you to the DCC, let me know. It would be great to see you there and you won't regret it. Greatest pool event on the planet!!

Jamie and Troy, thanks for the compliments. You guys are two of the more genuine dealers in the country. Keep in touch and hope to see both of you in Louisville.

Guy, thanks and wish it was possible for you to make it to Louisville, also. Maybe next year. As good as friends as we have become, it's a shame we're 1000 miles away. Hopefully I'll see you in VF.

Best,
Jimmy

The cue is absolutely a stunning example of Bills work. Just awesome! With a simple hoppe ring, the peacocks, the rings...well I could just go on and on. I love the whole design and I do not believe it finally arrived after all this time.

If there is any chance that baby needs to be adopted, just let me know.
You know how I get weak in the knees for hoppe cues.

Hey Myron,
I figured you would appreciate the cue. I know how much you respect Bill's work.

Always good to talk you. When you have a minute give me a call and we can do the cue talk thing for awhile.

Look forward to hearing from you,
Jimmy
