All,

I just got back from a visit with Mr. Cochran at the Scruggs shop. It was SO nice to see him again, and to spend some time talking "shop" (no pun intended).

He let me snag a few pics of my TS cue in the works. The inlays have yet to be done...but I wanted to share the progress pics with ya'll.

The cue looks phenomenal in person, and the ivory work I'm having done on it will really be something to see!! :) ;)

If all goes well, this cue will be welcoming me home from the sandbox!! (It's the cue in the center of the pics, of course)

WOW after the first sight I had to take another look of the butt sleeve as I did not see the butt cap and had to figure what it was like :) But now I see of course :)

That will be a beautiful cue I am sure - as it is already one by now! I really like the double rings that match the stainless joint nicely with their shine. Nice!

Any whispered words about your design idea on the inlays?;)

Ill bet that cue will be stunning when finished! Take care buddy and keep safe!!

That veneer combo has always been one of my favorites, looks like it's going to be a great player! Nothing like coming home to a new Scruggs.

Very nice Mark.

In the second pic, what are we looking at? Is it a 2 pc. handle? It almost looks like its the same piece of handle wood, but rotated 45 deg.

When I ordered my "#23" years ago in 89-90 I asked about that full splice look, and he said he didn't / couldn't do it.

I STILL like it, and it's nice to see he's doing them now.

Sexy cue.

Nice. I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer but I like it just like that without any inlays. Beautiful cue.

Thanks alot, Debbie. Now I'm upset!!! :) :)

I know what you meen, Mully. When I saw the cue, I thought the same thing!! It would be sharp as hell, without any inlays at all....but I'm sticking to my guns, and going for the design a buddy helped me come up with for it. It'll stay along the "classic" lines, and I imagine it'll be gorgeous (partly because it is, already).

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I'm VERY impressed....again....with the work that Mike and Tim put out. Each cue in their shop is something special, and mine is no exception to that rule.

As far as the handle goes, I noticed the same thing...but didn't think to ask about it. I'm certain...however it's set up...it'll play great, and look incredible.

Thanks again, and I'll post up new pics when it's done, and when I pick it up upon my return home.

Time to prep for the Super Bowl, now.
