new shaft for bludworth cue

I am making a new shaft for a bludworth cue.. What thread size is the pin. I measured it and it looks like 3/8-11. could that be a soutwest style pin?
also..where can I purchase the tap for this pin? one more thing.. the pin is not quite 3/8 around. is this a custom pin.. I dont know how to continue. I noticed Atlas has a 3/8" X 11 1/2 tap. not sure if this if the one. TIA
