New Soft Tip Makes That Sticking Sound

Anyone know how to get a new tip to stop making that sticking sound. I recently had a new Kamui Black Soft put on and whenever I use follow it makes a sticking noise. Do I just keep playing with it and hope that the tip hardens? Or do I have a bad tip? I only changed my old tip on another cue once to a Sniper and have never had a "bad" tip. Is this a common problem with Kamui's?

I purcahsed an OB Classic in June with a Kamui SS. Not only did it sound sticky I could almost swear that it was actually sticking a bit.

Someone on AZb told me to take a few layers off of it & that it would wear into playing shape. I did that & it is much better.

Good luck with it.

Regards,

All kamui blacks have that sticky, plastic sound. I've used them in every hardness. Switched back to single layer tips and will never look back. The trick with any tip is to trim it down short. It will play harder and hold it's shape better. It is also much easier to jump with a short tip.
