I chose the american red oak due to it's grain. The wide grain pattern of the red oak really sets off the dark grain of the wenge.
Thanx for the comments and suggestions. I agree , a tulip,wenge combo would really look good. This can be arranged ! I am making 23 cues right now , unfortunately none have this combo with wood choices.
I am gearing up for Derby City , have quite a few people wanting to see my work thru word of mouth and cues I have sold outside my area via internet.
So I am trying to put several cues together to take to Derby to show them my work. I also sponsor a player that will be playing in the Derby and will be there to support him as I did last year. He is quite the player.
Anyway , thanx Kid for the input and hope to put one of my cues in your hands soon.
