New table update and SVB

Got my "new" 9' Diamond 5 weeks ago. I was out of town for 2 weeks of that time so I have had 3 weeks or less of getting used to it and feeling frustrated at times. I expected about 2 months of frustration adapting to the pocket and table size. The last few days I was noticeable shooting much better. Tonight I went to league for the first time since getting it and I KILLED it on the 7' bar box. It seemed so easy! Seemed like I was playing on a toy table. Break and runs and everything was center pocket. Felt good. Thanks to all who pushed me toward the 9 footer. AND to top off the night, SVB came in and was shooting and visiting, my son in law was able to play a few games with him (and beat him the first 8 ball game!) and SVB was so pleasant and friendly. Here is their pic to prove it. I just took the pic and watched. Good times. There are some benefits to living in Sioux Falls!

It seems to me that you can look at SVB's face and see a good person in those eyes

Humility is the best trait in a star. ..hes the best thing in pool.

Congrats on your improvement .

A guy I know in Sioux Falls told me that Shane was at the league location a few weeks ago and was watching when he ran the table when he needed a big win for the round. After the game, Shane gave him a thumbs up. That made his week.

Congrats on the table. Believe it or not, once you adapt to it, it will seem routine. Your game will just keep getting better and better as you discover a new level of precision to your entire game.

Congrats on the table and improvements to your game. Great story regarding SVB. I liked it very much.

I meet Shane in Bangkok and agree he is a genuinely nice professional pool player. Our game needs and deserves top players, of his calibre on and off the tables.

Nice

Congrats on a 9' Diamond, it is my dream table.

I went through South Dakota in late fall 2015. I stopped in the Break Room pool hall in Rapid City South Dakota for a couple of hours. A nice big place with a bunch of bar box tables and half dozen 9' footers.

If I ever left Alaska I would consider South Dakota because of the beauty, out door activities and pool scene. I ain't leaving Alaska!

Gratz on the 9 footer- If you ever want someone to practice with although I'm not that good let me know. Most of the people I shoot with can't get out as much as I can so I'm always looking for someone to shoot with.

You going to JJ's tonight for the action match?

Congrats...I, too, just finished assembling my "new to me" Diamond Professional last night. Nice comments on Shane...I met Jeanette Lee a few years ago and found her to be the nicest person...love what she does for the military members, whether on an official base tour or just her ad hoc fallouts for military at any of her other stops. These type of pros are a real credit to the game.

I guess that wouldn't be too overwhelming a step when it comes to the population numbers of South Dakota...😉

If I ever set down roots in Alaska, I doubt I would ever leave. Used to travel up there quite a bit for Missile Defense work when I was on active duty...not so much, anymore. Miss it a lot.

Congrtas! If Shane is being sponsored by Emirates Airlines no wonder he likes playing in the middle east so much.

That is a Paris Saint Germain jersey.

They're playing my team (Manchester City) in the Champions League coming up, so I spotted it quickly.
