Well the disease has taken full effect. I have purchased a used pool table for my garage. Looking forward to having it put together this weekend (wish I could post a pic).
It's a no brand name table (that I can determine) but it is at least 20-30 years old 9', with tournament (?) sized pockets, Simonis 860 and what the seller called Artemis rail cushions.
I figure it's going to be frustrating for me learning on this table but will pay off in the long run.
Do Artemis rails tend to be lively? I have never seen rails as lively as the rails on this table. I hit the cue ball hard from one end of the table to the other and it jumped a bit off the rail, and bounced back and forth at least three or three plus times.
I'm used to playing on bar tables that are no where near that lively.
Anyway there you have it.
