Here are the my latest headstock, all still based on my original 3 bearing design, and same spindle design, all changes are mainly in the styling and looks. I want to lock in one or 2 styles, and make them a standard product. I would greatly appreciate all and every input on this topic.
I will have all 3 Headstocks with me in Vegas next week, I will be at the Tropicana from the 7th through the 15th.
Thanks

New Drive repair pins too, will be available in all 12 sizes staring at $15 each
Ps: first picture is for my new short headstock that will go on my Toolbox model.

I too like the gold anodize on the first one - I guess the ways/dovetail have been finished like that too. On the other hand, anodize does wear off over time and then it doesn't look so hot. So we'll have to see how these "weather the time".

The speed selector knob on the front is a good idea. I would suggest a knob with a pointer and then print gradation marks, possibly with 0-100 in increments of 10 on them, on the label. I doubt that you can accurately calibrate rpm on that label (or maybe you can) 200, 400, 600 etc would be REALLY cool. But at least the operator can keep notes and remember that "for this operation I set the speed at about 23%".

My 2 cents.

My guess is they are not anodized, it is just how the picture came out that makes it look that way, not enough flash.

Is a tournament going on there or you just staying there?

I will be playing the Nationals for 3-cushion billiards at the Tropicana from the 9th-12th. I also have a customer who will be covering the APA tournament with one of my Toolbox Lathes

You are correct, non of those Headstocks are Anodized at the moment, I am debating between either metallic blue to match my new batch of H-channels or black for all the Headstocks
