New Tascarella/Turcasso pics....

i'd thought i'd share some picture layouts, courtesy of Pete Tascarella, of the cue he made for me and the case i had made to match by Marc Turcasso along with the last pic showing the case interior. all the white in the cue including the butt cap is ivory and it even has an original Balabushka part, the socket cap screw, Pete graciously included in the cue as well. the case is mostly hand carved with some small accent tooling along the outside border of the work. the inside has 4 pigskin shaft sleeves and a cushion fit ultra soft micro suede interior. Some would argue that Pete is among the best if not the best cue maker alive and this cue wouldn't hurt those arguments at all. As for Marc well let's just say his mastery with leather is one to be recognized.

I definitely would like to be first in line if you ever decide to get rid of this combo. Beautiful set!

That is a great design by Pete.
Love the way he put the whole thing together with inlays and all.

The case really compliments the cue very well.

hi Si, there might one you'd have to "line jump" or "kill";) to get to this one if i were ever let it go........i'm surprised they haven't chimed in already...:confused: :D

Well, there is the possibility of me actually killing for this cue so whoever it is better be well armed :D

hey Myron, i told him about the arrangement i wanted in the sleeve using his "laminated diamonds" as he calls them, and the normal diamond/dot rotation which to my knowledge he had never paired up before. i guess the combination just never crossed his mind or was asked for. one thing he did say to me while still building the cue was that he was getting pretty excited to see the final results. i had him make the cue to original early Balabushka specs ( a little fatter back end ) and it really came out just about as perfect as i knew it would and really is a testament to just how meticulous "the Pete's" are when it comes to their work! everything from how the shafts fit with the addition of a stainless steel collar ring inside the joint pilot area to insure a better fitting shaft tongue without risking splitting the ivory joint to the aluminum ring on the inside wall of the ivory butt cap for the same reason to the perfect leather wrap to the perfect "stacked" veneer laminated diamonds i mean the list goes on! he recently made me a third shaft for playing with since i admitted to him i just couldn't bring myself to play with what he described as "Triple grade A shafts, they picked out special for this cue" and while only dry hitting with it so far the hit definitely screams Tascarella! i hope to share it in person at the show this coming March if my schedule permits........

hey Sean, ya Pete went out his way for me on this one. all the time spent getting the layouts to look great! truly what i consider a great friend! we're choosing one of the layouts for a poster, probably the second picture, and i hope to have a proof made soon. i cant wait to see how they come out.......

thanks!...i wish i could see your "GEM". i just know that it's perfect!.....the people watching you play might go blind with all the 'bling' goin' off as the stick moves!!;)
