Hey Chris,

your pm's are always full,

You like the old 12 layered instrokes right?

I got some news for you. Pm me, and have some space avalible in your pm's.
Sorry Bryan. I have been getting a crazy ammount of pm's lately. I just made some room. Chris.

What no one has mentioned Molavia. I really like the molavia{r} but have to scuff and chalk often. Love triangle because hit feels great and dont have to scuff and chalk. But get little more action with the molavia.

There has been alot of new tips out in the last couple years. I just wanted to see what everyone has tried and what you thought.
I have yet to try the dudly tips (premade milk duds) yet. They will be my next ones. So what have you tried out lately? Chris.

Past 3 years..........

I've tried them all literally. Ive played using each for about a month or so to find one that fits my style of play.....and these are the best of the bunch imho

#1. Porper Layered Water Buffalo Tips ( Press thoroughly )
#2. Talisman Layered Water Buffalo Tips ( Press thoroughly )
#3. Diamond Back Layered Tips ( Press thoroughly )
#4. Moori Med ( Press thoroughly )
#5. Sniper ( No pressing needed )

I've only put on 40 or so of them in the last year or so but I've never had one come apart.

Dick,
On the ones I've installed and had "delaminate", it always seems to be after a fair amount of play before it happens. I normally would think that the customer was doing something to tear it apart, but it happened on my personal player also. That's when I made the switch away from them. I loved the feel, but I can't keep having them delam when I warrenty them. I made the switch to the Wizards now and so far so good.

I don't have problems with any other tips, including snipers. So I don't think it's the way I cut them that's causing the problems.

I have just tried Wizard tips and I just want to say that they are great, I can draw the ball very easily,it grabs the cue ball very good and a good energy transfer. definitely better than the new Moori. The medium you can put more spin on the cue ball, but I like the hard version because I can control better the whitey and I also like the ping sound

I'll try also Hercules 2 in a short while, haven't tried Kamui yet, so in my book until now the top will be :

1-2 - Old Moori, Wizard - could not decide it passed 3 years since I have used the old moori
3 - Talisman WB

I definitely don't like Everest and Snipers

I have used only the cheaper tips, as most of my customers don't like to spend the $$ for an expensive tip for their Kmart cue:D I use lepro, elkmaster mainly, but have switched to triangles lately and like the feel of them. I have tried the Dudleys recently and it was so-so. I won't use the triumphs anymore, every one seems to come off the pad, the last one was while shaping it! What I need to know, is what is a good soft tip that's not blue as an elkmaster, and won't be 1/16" thick after 1 game and a little shaping? I have a lot of requests for soft, so I use an elk, and have had complaints about the color, go figure. How is Royal Oaks?

Actually, that is what I was going to suggest. If you like a very soft tip, Royal Oaks may be just what you need.
