It would help a lot if you'd tell us what you play with now and what you are looking for in a tip. I like Kamuis for my cues, medium seems to be the all around athlete that works for many players.
Le pros, milk duds and triangles work well too, they are the cheap way to go if you dont want spend money on tips.
usually i hate when some posts
DO A SEARCH
but this subject is so exhaustedly discussed you will find alifetime of reading of opinions on tips
if you have 2 shafts buy 2 different tips and compare them
eventually you will find what type of tip feels and plays best for you
Maybe now would be a good idea to try a hard tip....if you haven't yet.
I installed a hard because I liked the way a worn down and compressed medium
feels. So I thought I would try a hard and hopefully get the same feel from a new tip. Believe me....
it does exactly that.
The fears of more miscues from a hard tip were unfounded. Grips just as well as a medium.
Makes the cue feel alive. Don't know why I didn't start using one years ago. Old habit and inhibition
I guess. Oh well, not going back to medium that's for sure.
Ultraskin is your best bet, if you like Layered tips. Milkdud pooldawg8 if you prefer single.
I haven't tried ki-tech yet, but it also has good reputation.
